I research informal learning environments in order to better understand how to design inviting spaces where learning enriches lives. My work focuses on how museum visitors engage with exhibit spaces, content, and labeling, as well as with each other. In my current work at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, I am designing dynamic, interactive exhibits that expose collections and help people connect to the natural world. Here at the LRDC, I have found a research space that challenges me to use my experiences in teaching, anthroploy, psychology, and museology to contribute to our collective knowledge and allows me to continue learning.
Away from the LRDC I enjoy the outdoors through hiking and biking & explore cultures through traveling and cooking. I am always up for farmers' markets, game nights, or musical theatre.
